as always, there is a catch. Hot wax or the wrong type of wax can be dangerous or leave permanent scars.
Hot wax comes from burning candles. I know you know that already, but the reason I mention it is that there are different types of candles and one type should never ever be used, that being beeswax as it burns exceptionally hot. Plain white parafin candles are fine for this use, of course test them first (see below) Coloured candles should also be avoided as they contain some toxic colourents and can burn even hotter than beeswax candles. To be safe I can recommend these specially designed candles at a bargain price It takes the worry out of "are these candles ok?" to use and sets your mind at ease.
Also we all know naked is good ;) BUT obviously any lingerie on a subbie is not a good idea as it may cause the material to melt and cause nasty burns. The other thing to bear in mind is that if your partner is hairy, be careful or removal could be painful. If you do really want to do it, coat the "affected" parts with baby oil before dropping wax on them.
Before you start bear in mind that a tied submissive will not be able to escape or react as well as a normal person. So before you start with candle wax test it on yourself. To do this try dropping a few spots on your inner arm. This is a very tender piece of skin and it should give you a guide as to how hot it is. If you wish it to be cooler, just drop the wax from a higher hight, and verse vica if you want it hotter, drop it from a lower hight.
Obviously you need to keep the wax away from the face but the rest of the body is fair game. Just keep a watchfull eye and be ready to stop if needs be. Fun is also to be had taking it off too. Its all good fun.
If you want to highten the sensation and cause really strange sensation, alternate between hot wax and an ice cube out the bucket you have handy ;) However prolonged touching of the skin with ice is not recommended.
